Scott Toilet Paper
Scott toilet paper is great stuff, excellent hand and crumples just perfectly. I find the texture to be a marvelous balance of soft and strong without being overly thick. Thickness is important as it allows maximization of sheets-per-roll which is important as that is what dictates how long each roll will last. Now sure there are some softer toilet papers out there but they tend to be a bit weak and in general don’t feel as nice. There are certainly less soft toilet papers available than the Scott say a roll of this for example:
When I am looking for something softer I usually just reach into the basket I keep by my toilet:
It is of course critical that you hold them in the right direction as their claws can actually be quite sharp, but once you get the hang of things I assure you there is no softer wiping implement to be found.

I used to really like Charmin Ultra. It’s basically a rolled up down comforter. I had to stop using it when I moved into a house with a septic tank. Now I just don’t wipe.
