Lancaster Brewing Hop Hog IPA
Picked up a 6 of this last night and broke one out this afternoon. I am a huge fan of IPAs in general and I have to say I was somewhat disappointed here.
It smelled like it was going to be pretty nice, typical cascade hop smell, which I love; for an example of this aroma try Sierra Nevada Pale Ale which is loaded with cascade hops and one of my favorite “standby beers”. Taste wise this was alright, not really in any way offensive but I did find it to be a bit more “malty” than I like. So generally I wouldn’t say this beer sucks, if I was out and it was this or bud-light I’d drink this, not sure I’d buy it again for home consumption though.

I drank a Coors Lite today… the horror. My neighbor asked if I wanted a beer and without thinking I said yes. When he handed me a Coors Lite… in a CAN, I didn’t know what to do so I drank it. I have to say, it was better than that Miller High Life we drank.
I bought a case of Rogue Brutal Bitter today. I will be sampling one soon.
I don’t find Coors light offensive really, it basically tastes like beer flavored water to me. That said, I’m not buying any of it.
Lancaster Hop Hog Ale was surprisingly good, I thought. I guess I like hoppy beers … go figure.
Try a 40 of Olde English - I have one before every football game, it’s living large, I’m telling ya.
